When I was researching as a single parent where to have a legal surrogacy program that is safe, have qualified staff and modern state of the art facility and at a reasonable cost, I came across Colombia as a destination. I was skeptical initially because of the past history regarding safety but as I researched and read experiences of recent visitors, it proved to me that things have really changed positively and that Colombia has improved a lot and it's now a safe and a beautiful country worth exploring.My next step was my contact with Surrogacy Colombia through the American office headed by Mark. We scheduled a phone conversation and he clearly explained everything to me and at that point all my fears and doubts disappeared. I can truly testify that the agency is well organized and coordinated between the Colombia and American offices.Their delivery of information, response to emails and other forms of communication are excellent.They helped in arranging my trip to Colombia. Right from the Airport my patient Coordinator Camila arranged my airport pickup, planned my itinerary for me ahead of my visit, supplied me with list of restaurants and other places of interest. The driver (Francisco) spoke good english and in fact he lived in San Francisco California. Very good guy. made me feel comfortable. The hotel I stayed in was in the same building with the clinic in an upscale medical district in Usaquen - Bogota. On the day of my appointment I was picked up in the lobby of my hotel direct to the clinic. I was given a tour of the clinic and met the wonderful staff that work there. I met Pedro the Embryologist very smart guy, one the best in the field and super friendly guy. They have the state of the art equipment, very clean and organized and very good and well trained staff. In one day, I was able to do everything - gave my blood and semen samples for analysis and storage, went through the psychological evaluation and met my surrogate and the legal team and signed the surrogacy agreement in front of the notary without any stress. It was very easy and relaxing and I felt like I was in the USA. Because the standard of service is equivalent to American standard added to personal relationships. You deal with people who care about your success. You can see and feel it. Everything was just smooth beyond my belief. My patient coordinator Camila took very good care of me during my visit and made sure I had everything I needed for a successful trip.As a vegan I was fascinated to see that there are a lot of vegan restaurants and restaurants that can offer vegan menu in Bogota. I fell in love with the food and the people. There are a lot of tourist attractions, nice and memorable things to do. It was full of fun. I felt like I was on full vacation.I sincerely and highly recommend Surrogacy Colombia and their partner clinic to anyone who is looking for quality service that is up to American standard but cost less than half of what it costs in America.Sincerely,ISAAC.

Our first daughter was born in March (of 2021) and we are in the process with our next child.I think this is a great surrogacy program. Admittedly, it’s the only one we know, but…The facility is great. Super modern and clean.The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. We first met with Mark over zoom, who walked us through the entire process, the contracts, and the payment details. Before we signed anything, we went to the clinic to meet with Cami and the rest of the team. The Embryologist was really nice and knowledgeable. The rest of the team is really friendly. During the birth of our first child, they had a lawyer and social worker meet us at the hospital to help translate information, provide updates, and help with release from the hospital and legal process. After we had our first daughter, everyone wanted to see photos and was really happy about the birth.You can’t beat the price, especially if you are coming from the US. This was 50-70% cheaper than US based programs we looked at.There haven’t been any surprises with payments / costs. Everything has been exactly per the contract. There might have been a few out of pocket expenses when our daughter was born, but it was probably less than $200 USD and it was all kind of random stuff. I also think they told us about that upfront.A couple things to note —1 - We had a pretty tough process. We got pregnant on our 10th embryo, which was pretty frustrating. I don’t think it’s the clinic’s fault. Everything looked fine in the reports, we were just unlucky. We also started our process at the height of COVID, which might have made things harder. But, we did understand the success rate to be higher and that was pretty frustrating. The good thing is: unlike a lot of US-based clinics, we didn’t get charged for every failed transfer. It was one inclusive rate, which made things a little easier.2 - The legal process after birth is a little long and bureaucratic. Surrogacy Colombia gave us an overview and told us what to expect, and they had a lawyer guide us through the process. The process was more or less exactly what they described, but.. it’s still a pain! I don’t blame them, just letting people know!

The surrogacy journey, for me anyway, was not a journey taken lightly. To look to commence a family of your own as a single man across the other side of the world is an enormous leap of faith.From the time I started talking with Mark at Surrogacy Colombia I felt comfortable; Mark answered all my questions around surrogacy, the process, the procedures, the surrogate and all the risks associated.In 2019 I decided to take a chance and travelled to Colombia. The team in Bogota, led by the amazing Camila was first rate and highly skilled and professional. The premises, equipment and technology are all 1st world modern.In August 2020 my beautiful daughter was born. It was challenging having a child amid a pandemic but the clinic supported me every step of the way.In December 2020 I arrived home, forever grateful to Mark and his team for everything. It is simply the best decision I have ever made.

We started our surrogacy journey with Surrogacy Colombia back in Dec’19 when we first flew to Bogota. Our journey was not a smooth one, and there were a lot of uncertainties, as the covid-19 pandemic hit in Mar’20. Our first batch of embryos did not survive (we were unlucky) and we had to restart the process. We chose the guaranteed package, so there were no extra costs for additional attempts. We succeeded on our second attempt but unfortunately our surrogate had gestational diabetes. Being first time parents and far away physically, we were nervous and worried for our baby and our surrogate. Alejandra, our patient coordinator, was extremely supportive and always kept us updated on the status of our surrogate and our baby. The doctors were experienced and made the right judgement call to deliver our baby earlier, when our surrogate faced some health complications. We welcomed our daughter in Oct’21, and we couldn’t be happier! The staff at Surrogacy Colombia know what they are doing, and gave us a lot of assurance in our surrogacy process. We are very thankful for that! Also, there were no surprises in terms of costs, everything is communicated upfront, and we really appreciate that.Some extra tips: you may get cheaper and better accommodation if you search on Airbnb. Also, make sure you have a valid credit card for the Rappi app, which was a lifesaver to get anything we need while we were in Bogota (Chase did not work, we succeeded with BoA).

This type of journey is filled with uncertainty and bumpy emotions. The team at Surrogacy Colombia made the road very smooth. They have the staff, the medical knowledge and gentle supportive coordinators that every intended parents need. I personally am going back to them for a second and maybe third round.I specifically want to mention Alejandra who stayed with me from the very beginning until the birth of my son and beyond. We have worked with the team and our coordinator since February and they have been great to work with and helping us understand the process and expectations. While we are not matched/ pregnant yet they have answered all our many questions and made us feel supported through out the journey so far. So far they have been amazing and would 100% recommend if you are thinking about surrogacy in Colombia.

Our experience with the Surrogacy Colombia team is ALWAYS positive! They are there to support you through your journey. There will be hiccups in some journeys unfortunately but it's never the fault of the team. Sometimes egg donors or surrogates don't work out and you need to switch! I know this happened to us and other IPs. Our first process started in October 2021 and our first birth was in December 2023. This isn't a snap of the fingers process. They made us feel encouraged at all stages and when we had frustrations and questions they always made sure we were heard! Lots of respect to the SC team! ♥️
